Laura Danisse Beichley and Brett Andrew Evans were united in marriage on June 6, 2009, in a 4:00 p.m. ceremony at Peace United Church of Christ in Gladbrook, with Pastor Harry Wach officiating. Parents of the couple are Randy and Susan Beichley of Gladbrook and Dennis and Marilyn Evans of Reinbeck.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a fitted strapless white silk gown accented with lace and Swarovski crystals about the bodice, featuring a lace-up back, and fitting closely until falling to a chapel length train. Her fingertip-length veil was accented by a crystal border. She carried a bouquet of fresh white hydrangeas, white roses and stephanotis.

Attending their sister as matron and maid of honor were Michelle Sieh and Sonya Beichley. Serving as bridesmaids were Bridgette Wilkerson, Shauna Smith, and Elizabeth Spillman, friends of the couple. All wore street-length gowns of brown satin with baby blue sashes, and all carried bouquets of fresh blue hydrangeas.

The groom, attired in a black tux with white vest and tie, chose as best men his brothers Jamie, Rob, and Jonathan Evans. Serving as groomsmen were Jordan Fannon, friend of the couple, and Jay Beichley, brother of the bride. All wore black tuxes with brown-toned vests and brown ties.

Elly and Cameron Sieh, niece and nephew of the bride were flower girl and ring bearer. Elly was escorted down the aisle by her brother, Cameron, who pulled her in a white wagon decorated in white tulle and ribbon. The bride's personal attendants were friends Abby Bohan and Tabitha Bush.

Attending the guest book were Nancy Boerma and Mallory Kirkendall, also friends of the bride.

The guests were seated by Grant Tysdahl, Brandon Halvin, Zach Chambers, and Adam Beiermann, friends of the groom. Special guests were the bride's grandparents, Jay Dee and Sharon Shouse of Gladbrook. Music was provided by organist Chad Mussig, friend of the bride, and vocalist Vance Lambert, cousin of the groom.

The couple was pronounced husband and wife while standing on a rug hand-crafted by Brett's great-grandmother. Since 1965, each of Brett's married family members has used the rug in their weddings.

A reception and meal, held at the Lincoln Amvet Hall, followed the ceremony and was hosted by Duane and Laura Woebbeking and Jerry and Barb Fannon, friends of the couple. Serving cake at the reception were the bride's aunts, Marcia Wiese and Terrie Beichley. The ceremony and reception were attended by out-of-state guests from New Hampshire, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, and Tennessee, with a number attending from Northwest Missouri State University. The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal supper on Friday evening at the Tremont on Main in Marshalltown.

Both Brett and Laura are graduates of Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School and

Northwest Missouri State University. Following a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple is at home in Edwardsville, KS, where Laura is employed at Crate & Barrel in Leawood, KS, and Brett is employed by HyVee of Kansas City, MO.
