Church leaders in the Grundy Center area from First Presbyterian, Holy Family Catholic, United Methodist, American Lutheran, Bethany Presbyterian, and Orchard Hill Grundy Campus have met to prepare an ecumenical worship service for the Thanksgiving holiday. The service will be held on Wednesday, November 25 at 7 p.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 21275 U Avenue, Reinbeck. The church is located at the intersection of county roads T55 and D35 north of Reinbeck.

Scripture, prayer, preaching and music will comprise the liturgy. Pastor Tom Bower will offer the message. Special music will be provided.

Before worship, a soup dinner will be served by the various churches, beginning at 6 p.m. Homemade chicken and chili soups, relish, desert and beverage will be available for a free-will offering. Proceeds are designated for Operation Threshold.

Participants are asked to bring non-perishable food offerings or paper goods. These donations and gifts of money will be donated to Operation Threshold and the Ministerial Assistance Fund. Everyone is welcome.
