The City of Reinbeck has received funding from the Iowa Department of Economic Development to implement a Housing Rehabilitation Program. The program will allow the City to rehabilitate a minimum of six (6) homes during a two (2) year period of time. Eligible houses will be brought up to Iowa's Minimum Housing Rehabilitation Standards. Common repairs to houses include installing new roofing, siding, windows, doors, plumbing and wiring.
Homeowners must meet certain requirements to be eligible to participate in the grant program. In general, they must own or be buying the home and have lived in it 6 months in the target area of all streets West of Commercial Street, South of CR 175, East of Pioneer and North of Park. Also, their gross household income cannot exceed the income guidelines based on household size (listed below) and the home cannot be in the 100-year floodplain.

2 persons: $38,300.
3 persons: $43,100.
4 persons: $47,900.
5 persons: $51,750.
6 persons: $55,550.
7 persons: $59,400.
8 persons: $63,250.
Participation in the program is voluntary and confidential. The Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments (INRCOG) is assisting the City with the program.
