Melinda Rae Berger and Trevor John Oberholtz were united in marriage on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Traer. The 5 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Pastor Kenneth Kent.
Parents of the couple are Denny and Jill Berger of Traer, and John Oberholtz of Adair and Cindy and John Blaine of Messena.
Grandparents of the bride are Harold and Verena Vorba and Marion and Faye Berger, all of Traer.
The bride was attired in a white chiffon slim gown with spaghetti straps, ruched empire bodice, beaded lace and crisscross back. The gown featured a sweep train and the lace veil with blusher was held in place by a pearl headpiece. She carried a cluster bouquet made of purple roses and white stephanotis.
Gayle Dinsdale Hansen, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jill Svoboda, friend of the bride and Morgan Vorba, cousin of the bride. They wore purple tea-length gowns and carried a single long stemmed white rose.
The groom chose his friend Adam Ayers as the best man. Groomsmen were Tyler Oberholtz, brother of the groom. Candle lighters were Caitlyn and Colin Grebner, friends of the bride.
Ushers included Scott Berger, brother of the bride and Blake Vorrath, friend of the groom.
Lori Westergaard was the brides' personal attendant and Carrie Grebner attended the guest book. Mike and Anna Wood Miller were in charge of the gifts and Luke and Sarah Foster provided the special music.
The dinner reception and dance at the Traer Memorial Building was hosted by Alan and Linda Peters, friends of the bride and Don and Jane Imhoff, friends of the groom.
The couple is at home in Adair where the bride is the pre-kindergarten teacher at Adair-Casey School and the groom owns Waterstone Contracting.
