GRUNDY CENTER, IA --- The Grundy County Board of Supervisors has named Rodney A. See to be the new Grundy County Director of Veteran Affairs beginning July 1, 2009. In his new role, Mr. See will coordinate local, state and federal veteran's medical and financial benefits for military veterans in the county. The Board of Supervisors took the action following the recommendation of Mr. See for the post by Grundy County Veteran Affairs Commission members Don McLean, Chairman from Conrad, Randy Thoren from Grundy Center and Jack Mommer from Dike. Mr. See is a retired U. S. Navy Veteran with 20-years of service, having served as a Navy air crew member at many locations throughout the World prior to retiring to Reinbeck where he also owns and operates the Pony Up Leather and Upholstery Company. Recently he was commander of the Reinbeck Post #242 American Legion for three years. Mr. See lives with his wife Karen in Reinbeck. He and his wife are originally from Tama-Toledo, Iowa.
