Rev. Tori R. Randall, 48, of Amherst, VA. formerly of Reinbeck and Dysart passed away on January 9, 2009 in Amherst, VA, of cancer.
Family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the Overton Funeral Home in Dysart. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, at the Dysart Cemetery, Dysart, IA. Burial at the Dysart Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the local Humane Society.

Rev. Tori Rae Randall was born October 6, 1960 at Cedar Rapids, IA to Collin and Shirley (Switzer) Randall. She received her education in Dysart, Iowa and later graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1979. She continued her education at the University of Iowa in Iowa City where she graduated in the Class of 1983/1984 with a Bachelor in Pre-Law and Sociology. She then worked at Bremwood Home for Children in Waverly for six years. She then attended American Institute of Commerce in Cedar Falls, Iowa where she obtained her Legal Assistant and/Paralegal Diploma. She then moved to Minneapolis where she worked as Paralegal in a Minneapolis law firm. She then moved to Richmond, VA where she helped a friend open a computer shop. Later she took a job for the Virginia Tech University where she did hybridization work. She then decided to enter the ministry and attended the Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education graduating in May of 2007. On July 1, 2007 she began her ministry with the Mt. Pleasant Charge in Virginia and served the communities of Mt. Pleasant, Mt. Horeb and Ivy Hill. Tori has been fighting a battle with cancer and her death came on January 9, 2009 at the age of 48 years. She is survived by her parents Collin and Shirley Randall of Janesville, IA, a brother Tote (Susan) Randall of Ames, Iowa, a sister Tonya (Bret) Evenson of Denver, IA, two nieces and three nephews .
