Food Bank at UCC

The Reinbeck Food Bank is in need of the following items: Spaghettios, soup, boxed dinners, Hamburger Helper, canned meat, plain noodles, juices, Kleenex tissues, boxed cereal, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products and laundry, dish and bath soap.

Registration for Cedar Valley Youth Soccer League Fall 09 - Spring 10 season will be held at City Hall on April 1 from 5pm-7pm. Contact Chelsea Wyatt with questions - 788-8888.


The Dorcas Society of St. John Lutheran church in Reinbeck will be hosting the Waterloo Zone Lutheran Women's Missionary League spring rally this Saturday, March 21st, from 9:00 am to noon. It will include a presentation by a former pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Reverend David Splett, about his trip to the Holy Land in 2008. The women's group will also be conducting their semi-annual business meeting, serving a brunch and collecting baby items for the Iowa Falls crisis pregnancy center - The Light House. The ladies of St. John's invite the public to join them for Reverend Splett's presentation, which will begin about 11:00 am in the church sanctuary.

Zion Lutheran Church

5831 Grundy Rd., rural Hudson, is hosting their annual Soup Supper on March 29, serving from 4:30 6:30. The Menu includes Chili, Potato Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup; Ham Sandwiches, Egg Salad Sandwiches, and relishes along with a large variety of desserts and beverages, all home made. Prices are adults, $6.50, children 5 10, $3.00; all you can eat. The church is handicap accessible; the public is invited.
