The 83rd General Assembly convened and swore in all elected senators. Among those taking the oath of office was Senator Tim Kapucian (R-Keystone), representing District 20 which includes Grundy and Benton Counties as well as portions of Tama and Iowa Counties. Kapucian is serving his first term in the Senate.
Senate Republicans will work diligently this year for a smaller more accountable government, fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, and an environment that will foster job creation.
